Who we are
The Rose London is operated by Arsini Ltd, company number 16706880, the controller of personal information used to run our florist business. Our registered office is Office 292, 60 Tottenham Court Road, Fitzrovia, London, United Kingdom, W1T 2EW. Contact us at info@theroselondon.com. Our office is not open to the public.
Information we use
We use the information you give us when shopping or contacting us: your name, email, telephone number, billing and delivery addresses, order and payment status, delivery instructions, bouquet choices, card messages and correspondence. If you buy a gift, we also receive the recipient's details and message from you. Please provide only information needed for the gift and delivery, and avoid sensitive personal information in card messages.
Our Shopify store and its service providers may collect device, browser, IP address and website activity information through necessary cookies and, where permitted, optional analytics and advertising technologies. Payment providers process payment details securely; please do not send card details by email.
Why we use information and our legal bases
- To take payment, prepare orders, arrange delivery, administer subscriptions where offered and provide customer service: performance of our contract with you and steps requested before entering it.
- To deliver gifts and communicate with recipients about delivery: our legitimate interests in fulfilling the purchaser's order, balanced against the recipient's rights. We do not add gift recipients to marketing lists just because they receive flowers.
- To keep accounting records and respond to lawful requests: compliance with legal obligations.
- To secure our store, prevent fraud, resolve disputes and improve service: our legitimate interests in operating a safe, reliable business.
- For marketing and optional cookies: consent where required by law. Where the law permits marketing to existing customers without fresh consent, we provide an opportunity to opt out. You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time.
We need essential order and delivery information to fulfil an order. If it is not supplied, we may be unable to process or deliver it.
Who receives information
We share relevant information with Shopify, payment providers, delivery partners and our in-house drivers, providers supporting our website and customer service, and professional advisers where needed. Delivery staff receive the details necessary to deliver your bouquet. We may disclose information to authorities where required by law, or in connection with a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.
Shopify hosts our store and processes information to provide its services. Where Shopify acts as an independent controller, its own privacy notice applies: Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy. You can also use Shopify's Privacy Portal.
Cookies and marketing choices
Necessary cookies support functions such as the shopping basket, checkout and security. Where optional analytics or advertising technologies require consent, you can manage your choices using the site's privacy controls. You can also manage cookies in your browser; blocking necessary cookies may affect checkout. Withdrawing marketing consent does not stop essential order or service messages.
International processing
Some providers, including Shopify, process information outside the UK. Where required, transfers rely on adequacy decisions or approved contractual safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or UK Addendum. Contact us for information about safeguards relevant to your data.
Keeping and protecting information
We retain information only for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including fulfilling orders, managing ongoing subscriptions, complying with tax and accounting obligations and resolving disputes. Retention depends on the record, applicable legal requirements and any outstanding claim. Marketing information is kept until you opt out or it is no longer needed; limited suppression information may be kept to respect your choice. We use appropriate technical and organisational protections, although no online system is completely secure.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct, erase, restrict or transfer your personal information. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
You have the right to object to direct marketing at any time, and to processing based on legitimate interests in circumstances covered by data protection law.
Email us to exercise your rights. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity. We normally respond within one month, with extensions where the law permits. You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/. You do not have to contact us first.
Changes and other websites
We update this notice when our practices change and show the revision date above. Other websites linked from our store have their own privacy notices.
